Synopsis for "Destiny's Hand"

In Beverly Hills, actor William Desmond dies, and Dā€™Spond, the Daemonite possessing him, jumps into his doctor, Arthur Heath. In Rhode Island, the Orb-powered adolescent and Cabal member Providence returns to her hometown and namesake, falling asleep in her old bedroom. In New York, Void has a vision of a Daemonite possessing an infant ā€œGifted Oneā€ in a war-torn landscape. The WildC.A.T.s gather and deduce that the war in question is between the Eastern European countries of Kasmia and Yurgovia, the latter ruled by the renegade Coda assassin Destine. To protect the child, the team plans to intervene. Gnome is aware of their plans and, seeking revenge on Emp, warns Destine. He also sends Dā€™Spond, who requires a younger host to survive, to Providence who can find the child. The two teleport to meet with Destine while the WildC.A.T.s arrive in Kasmia. After a brief skirmish with Yurgovian forces, Grifter and Voodoo meet with an old contact of his who tells them of a young psychic woman named Eliska Valasovic. They go to her apartment to find Destine and Providence already there with Dā€™Spond possessing her infant child. Grifter battles Destine while Voodoo confronts the Daemonite. The rest of the team arrives and joins the fight. Finally, Grifter shoots and kills Destine while Voodoo exorcises Dā€™Spond from the child, and Warblade kills him. Later, aboard the WildC.A.T.sā€™ jet, Void and Zealot discuss Destineā€™s death, and Marlowe tells Eliska that the team will get her and her child to safety.
