Synopsis for "Endings and Beginnings"

Badrock returns to the Pentagon, but everyone mistakes him for his future self.  Aboard his ship, Admiral Kh’rk is stunned when his fleet is attacked.  The future Badrock, the future Task, and a Diehard unit teleport aboard to negotiate. Meanwhile, Diehard II sneaks aboard and frees the Youngblood team being held captive.  Back on Earth, Elizabeth Langston has brought the unconscious Brahma to Shaft at the Pentagon.  He tells her he has been removed as team leader by Battlestone, and she warns him to watch his back.  After a heated phone call with his superior, Battlestone is informed that Psi-Fire’s mind is not in his body.  In orbit, Kh’rk agrees to remove his fleet if he is allowed to take Combat for trial on Katella.  Sentinel’s team protests, but the future Badrock accepts Kh’rk’s terms.  Dutch and Marla Thomas visit his cabin to find Knightsabre waiting for them.  He tells Dutch to lay low while he, Cougar, and Vogue resolve the situation within Youngblood.  Sentinel’s team returns to Earth while, aboard his ship, the future Badrock reveals to the future Task that the Combat they turned over to the Katellans is actually a clone created by Alexander Graves.  Before leaving Earth orbit, Kh’rk receives communication that the Shepherd is in the Dalus Sector. At the Pentagon, Battlestone tells Shaft he is still an important part of Youngblood, but Shaft is ambivalent. In the Himalayas, a mountain climber has been drawn to the frozen form of Diabolique.
