Synopsis for "This Savage Land"
Sentinel leads a Youngblood team to Antarctica to investigate a CIA monitoring station that has mysteriously gone offline. They find it ruins with the staff and much of the equipment missing. A group of large, orange-skinned men attack, but flee once Youngblood fights back. They follow the men through a tunnel in the ice that leads to a lush, warm, and mountainous area. The orange-skinned people take them captive and escort them to a towering citadel. Inside, Youngblood is brought before their ruler, Tyrax. Intolerant of outsiders, he intends to execute them. First, however, he explains that the land they are in is named Arcadia and that the tunnel they came through is actually a transdimensional portal. He conquered Arcadia long ago and recently returned to find a rebellion had formed against his rule. Just then, the rebel leader Kanan bursts in and challenges Tyrax, but Tyrax leaves, intending to destroy the portal. Kanan and Youngblood follow, fighting their way through Tyrax’s men. They beat Tyrax to the portal and, as the team goes through, Sentinel vows they will return to help Kanan. Youngblood reaches the other side just before the portal closes explosively.
